New Zealand’s only supercar manufacturer revealed its rival for the Caparo T1, the Hulme CanAm, at the New Zealand A1GP.
The 600bhp hulme CanAm supercar is powered by a 7.0-litre V8 from the Corvette Z06 and is targeting a 0-62mph time of less than three seconds. Top speed is claimed to be 198mph.
Designed and built by 68-year-old Jock Freemantle, the Hulme CanAm has been in development for six years at a reported cost of more than £1.7m.
It is named after New Zealand’s 1967 F1 World Champion Denny Hulme and is expected to go on sale in Europe in 2010.
The Hulme CanAm will be priced at around £200,000, the same price as the Caparo T1.
